Tech Specs of 2009 Nissan Maxima

The 2009 Nissan Maxima is reported to have higher performance than its predecessors, with tech specs as follows:

- 5-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 with improved air intake, combustion and exhaust efficiency, producing 290 horsepower and 261 lb-ft torque

- Revised standard Xtronic CVT™ (Continuously Variable Transmission) with standard Ds and manual modes

- 20-gallon fuel tank capacity for extended driving range

- 1.9-inch shorter wheelbase, 1.5-inches wider, 1.4-inch/1.2-inch wider front and rear track than previous generation Maxima

- Offered as two well-equipped models: Maxima 3.5 S and 3.5 SV

Most Importantly, the 2009 Nissan Maxima will continue to be built on American Soil.

I am early awaiting to test and review the car. Based on the published specifications, the 2009 Nissan Maxima is enhanced over the 2008 model and I should expect the performance of the Maxima to be as what the reviews have been raving about. I hope Nissan will live up to its name and provide us drivers with a premium ride.
